Before the student starts singing lessons, she should have a clear goal of what to work towards. Once the teacher is aware of the goal, she can structure a plan to help her towards it. Suitable exercises and voice techniques will be taught to the student to warm up and also help improve her voice.  The correct posture, vowel shaping and breathing all contribute to the sound which comes out. A solid vocal technique will assist the student to sing with stamina and strength and in a smooth manner.It will also help her voice to be more flexible and to build strength. The student will need to learn how to travel from the bottom to the top ranges of her voice without any breaks or changes in the tone of the voice. Besides vocal techniques, the teacher will introduce pieces of music to sing.
